At Umar Farooq Educational Trust, we believe that empowering women through education is not only a right but also a powerful force for societal transformation. Our Women Empowerment & Gender-Inclusive Education initiative is dedicated to equipping girls and women from marginalized backgrounds with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to lead independent, dignified lives.
Despite progress, millions of women in India still face barriers to quality education, job opportunities, and financial independence. We aim to change this narrative through inclusive, skill-based training that is accessible, practical, and life-changing.
• Promote equal access to vocational and digital education for women
• Build self-confidence through soft skills and leadership programs
• Support women in starting careers or their own businesses
• Encourage gender equality in all aspects of our training programs
1. Skill-Based Vocational Training : We offer women-focused vocational training programs in fields like tailoring, beautician services, home-based entrepreneurship, computer basics, and data entry. These courses are tailored to be flexible, affordable, and practical — empowering women to work from home or seek employment in safe, inclusive environments.
2. Digital Literacy & Financial Inclusion : Digital literacy opens doors to remote work, online learning, and digital banking. Our training equips women with essential computer knowledge and digital skills, while also promoting financial literacy — teaching them how to manage income, use digital wallets, and access government schemes.
3. Soft Skills & Confidence Building : Communication, self-presentation, and leadership are key to breaking social barriers. Our workshops include group discussions, public speaking, personal development, and team-building activities to help women gain confidence and express themselves freely in both professional and personal spaces.
We create a safe, respectful, and inclusive space where both men and women learn to support each other. All our trainers are sensitized to gender equality, and we take pride in implementing gender-balanced classrooms where mutual respect and dignity are nurtured.
• Childcare support for mothers attending training
• Flexible batch timings for homemakers and working women
• Scholarships for single mothers, widows, and young girls from low-income families
